We have a big ERA hair? A look at the 1950’s Beaut

Correction, we have a small error here.

Our team starting this week, will clarify and put to bed any beauty myths

concerning each era.

Lets begin with the 1950s.  After years of war, and the cascading economy women did away with unnecessary luxury and boisterous makeovers.

The 1950s woman yearned to express her femininity : cinching her waist line with a soft colored belt, flirty and false eyelashes, hair out of her face- pulled into a perfect bun, capitalizing on the natural glow of her skin.

Each woman and their looks fitted neatly into a perfect box. Make-up colours were never loud, but simple and elegant, emphasizing grace and charm.
