Savor the Last of Summer

These summer foods while not only bring you back to the lounge chair by the pool or the beach at sunset, they will also help you keep healthy as we begin fall season!

Corn                                                                                                                                 

What:  Protects the skin
Why:  Contains antioxidants lutein and zeaxanthin

Tomatoes

What:  May protect against sunburn

Why:  Contains carotenoid (which also makes it red)

Watermelon

What:  Helps satisfy, provide water, and skin-protectant

Why:  92% water, the water can help reduce the amount you eat by keeping you satisfied, lycopene

Raspberries

What:  Prevent weight gain/aid weight loss      

Why: Fiber
